We are based out of the Riverton/South Jordan area but service all of Utah. We often do long distance moves to surrounding states such as Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and California. Piano Moving in Utah is technical, as most homes in Utah have porch steps, basements, second floors, and other unique features that piano movers in locations like Las Vegas or Phoenix don’t encounter very often.

These are the base rates for pianos being moved from one location or home to a different location or home.

These are the base rates are for pianos being moved within the same home or location that they currently are in.

We charge $10 per stair for all porch steps involved in the move. $10 per step no matter type of grand and tall uprights. Short uprights are $5 per step. Basements or long flights of stairs are quoted on a case by case basis.

If both homes are located within Salt Lake County there is no extra charge. For any travel outside of Salt Lake County we charge $150 an hour round trip. For example, if you are located in Ogden, it’s 30 minutes from Salt Lake County so we would charge an additional $150.

Other price variables could include turns in flights of stairs, split level entries, flipping upright pianos on their side, removing doors, pianos with player systems, or travel over grass or dirt to get the piano in the house, and long distance from our truck to destination.
